What do you think? Answer below!
yep!
no sneakers with boot cut, it looks horrible
I’m afraid so. If the flare is large, which is intended for boot cut jeans, then you might want to wear some sort of heeled shoe. If the flare is closer to your legs, you can make it pass for sneakers.
yesss
Is it okay to wear bootcut jeans and black convese?
You can wear boot cut jeans with most kinds of shoe, really.
From my experience sneakers do not look good with a boot cut jean. I’ve done it and gotten comments from several friends. You can wear black boots with a dark blue jean. At least I have done it many times; especially if the jean is a real dark one. I think it all depends on the top you wear with it also. A black top or print with predominantly black would look best. I would stay away from bright colors or a white shirt with a dark blue jean and black boots.
You’re wondering if it is a social mistake to wear sneakers with boot cut jeans. Do you mean for a specific social event or for a specific social environment? I’m not sure but that is my impression.
In a general context, you’ll need to consider how boot cut jeans will go over and if they are also socially acceptable. Obviously, there are times and places where some might question wearing them. I’m going on the basis that:
1) The jeans are socially acceptable and you want to know about the footwear.
2) You want to wear sneakers (if at all possible), but don’t want to take grief for doing so (e.g. under the radar).
So, let us go with the fact you want to come up with a way to wear sneakers with boot cut jeans. My suggestion is to wear a BLACK MONOCHROME pair. By this I mean a pair of sneakers that is 100% completely Black — sides, uppers, sole, thread, etc.
There are several companies that sell Black Monochrome sneakers, such as Converse (Chucks – High & Low top) as well as Vans (Slip-on and CVO), and Keds (Slip-on and CVO for Men and Women).
As for the style — slip, CVO, High-top, or low-top — it is up to you. For them to work (as there is no heel lifting the shoe off the floor), you’ll need to make sure the inseam is high enough to not drag on the floor. This is very important as worn jeans because they are too long is not good!!
The other option is to look for a pair of boots that are as comfortable as sneakers! This might mean asking a different question or some Yahoo! / Google searching.
