My little guy just started liking Thomas the Train and recently has been very ill. I just saw this flashing across the news screen and I am wondering if this is the reason for his illness. Please go check all those little wooden toys against the recalled list.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of various “Thomas & Friends” wooden railway toys.
The recall involves wooden vehicles, buildings and other train set components for young children listed in the chart below. The front of the packaging has the logo “Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway” on the upper left-hand corner. A manufacturing code may be located on the bottom of the product or inside the battery cover. Toys marked with codes containing “WJ” or “AZ” are not included in this recall.
My little guy was tested today for Lead posioning. He has been very, very sick. If you need to contact the RC company, the # is (866)725-4407.

thanks for the info my son LOVES thomas luckily most of his are plastic. but we have a few wooden ones i’ll have to check.
Get him into geo trackz they are safer, cheaper, cuter, are easy to travle with and put together!!!
I would take him to the Dr. and tell him about the recall and have my child checked for lead poisoning. It is very possible that is what is wrong with your son.

Thanks so very much! My 17 month old recently received one of the recalled James toy trains and tender from his grandparents, and of course at his age every toy he has gets chewed on. I really appreciate your gesture on sharing this info 🙂
Here’s some more info for fellow Canadians… I called KRG Logistics in Mississauga and I was told to fill out the the Candian Form at the following website, and mail your toy(s) to them for replacement. Keep all of your shipping receipts,
so that you can get the mailing cost back. For other questions about the recall, there is a 2nd number as the original has a busy signal, which I found out for myself, and was also told by the lady I spoke to. The 2nd phone number is 1-800-638-2772.
