of course, the human body wastes so much unnecessary energy doing simple things.
Give your answer to this question below!
Yes. Our skeletons could have been made from titanium or some other strong light alloy. Our muscle density could be more like a lion’s or a gorilla to give us more strength. Our brains could be wired more complex so that we can multi task much better, or make better decisions much faster. But the worst design flaw is with age comes degradation, memory loss, muscle depletion etc. The way genetic engineering is going, it won’t be too long before they find a way to prolong life indefinitely, or even to live 2-300 years.
OMG, no! Look at me, I am PERFECT!
But yes, if I were to design something that looks like a human but works better and would be easier to repair and would be cheaper to maintain than the current version I could come up with a few ideas.
I do forget to much. A properly designed human should forget much less than I do.
Blood vessels in my eyes are on the wrong side of the retina.
Sugar, sugar, mh, my teeth should renew not only once but more like every few years.
And on and on … you could think of a human that could not only grow new skin (scars) on wounds but could grow completely new bodyparts when injured. (see Axolotl)
You see, there is a lot of room for improvement.
I wear glasses because our eyes don’t have muscles to hold the eye in a proper shape.
I had two wisdom teeth out because there wasn’t room for them in my jaw.
A friend of mine had her appendix out because it became inflamed because there’s no good drainage mechanism for it.
People are too prone to getting backaches. The “beautiful S curve” of the back is an ideal, and far too many people are on the lordosis-kyphosis spectrum.

People get sunburns. That’s kind of dumb for a species that is active during daylight.
Our adult teeth wear out over the course of a natural lifetime. Many dinosaurs had a superior system — replacement every two years.
Too many poorly regulated genes, which is why somatic trisomy causes so many problems.
Red-green colorblindness being more prevalent in males. The Y chromosome kind of sucks because it has lost genes.
Tendencies toward obesity and diabetes, as a result of craving foods that taste good.
