Portal Design (4) Box delivery system malfunction

Sorry, I was listening to radio while testing my map. Well, I got to make a new sketch about the multi-box delivery system that, as you can see, doesn’t work. At all. In Portal, the delivery system only delivers ONE box. Mine is supposed to deliver multiple. That’s why it’s hard.

    @LoadedWingshot Yea but still its been done but several updates went and fucked it up so then people were trying to figure out a way to recode it but still hasn’t happened yet…. and believe me if it was as easy to do it the way you put it many would have already done it… so yea

    Hehe. I can see the malfunctioning box delivery in a map. Your going through, and it tries to deliver one, ends up delivering tons of them, and exploding 😀

    You can make it work however you want to, though. There’s no need to be afraid of messing with triggers and math counters.

    Just remember that the output should be to 1: close the door’s animation and 2: actually make the invisible brush where the door is solid.

    If 1 box falls then it adds to 1 making 2 disabling the trigger and dropping a second box.

    If 1 box is deleted it re-enables the trigger checking for the box and dropping a box. If the box isn’t there to set it off then 2 drop.

    solution might be to have a trigger that closes the doors only when x number of cubes have fallen out of it. Though that system, itself, has its fair share of potential problems. I’m glad to see you were able to work it out.

    yeah it is though to do the portal gun on all the maps if you’ve ever transfered construct map series and go on it on portal you easy fall though the ground
