Question by …: Why would a merciful God design humans to biologically be just another species of filthy animals?
Humans have always been sick and tired of being biologically similar to all those stupid beasts running around. If there really is a creator, then why couldn’t he have made us in a way that we could be classified in a dignified taxonomic kingdom of our own? Surely we deserve better than that.

And I thought we Christians got bashed for our notion of sin. At least we see hope and a creature made in God’s image.

It would be interesting if you could slice a human open and find no mechanisms at all.
Who said we had a merciful God?
;p
@ imrod: And atheists don’t see hope? I have a great deal of hope for my future and what we as human beings can accomplish. Understanding that we’re related to the rest of the animal kingdom does not in any way diminish our potential. Not seeing us as being ‘in God’s image’ isn’t a bad thing; it’s just a recognition of our probable origins.
There isn’t a merciful God, we evolved by unthinking and uncaring naturalistic processes.
And have a pleasant day!
??? Stupid beasts?.. Animals have evolved (just like us) they are just as smart as they need to be.. they do not need any gods to tell them what to do.. DO NOT INSULT my natural world!
If you want TO HUMILIATE YOURSELF TO ANIMALS THEN ITS OK..
Evolved Apes.. then its .. THATS YOUR THINKING and Perspective.. Peace..
I’m animal and I’m proud.
