Aluminum Macbook 2.0 Design Flaw

Found a problem with the battery cover. From what i’ve researched, this is common on almost every Macbook/MBP yet. One forum user stated it will take three weeks for the Apple Store to get in replacement parts for a new product. Some have exchanged their laptops for new ones but found to have the same issue. UPDATE 27th OCT 08: Received s new Macbook as an exchange from the Apple Store – this one is fine.

@GOLDY449 Just bend the tabs down on the cover. that will fix it.

I got the same model and the problems is very small. Only a little jiggle but I dont notice it now that I use a Speck See thru Case for my aluminum macbook. The biggest problem that I had was the slanted keys and it drove me nuts for a while. But since I bought at a BestBuy Store the didn’t let me exchange it for such a small problem. There are no apple stores where I live so I was out of luck

I think yours was a faulty unit. They aren’t all like that. Mine is perfectly firm and it’s a year now of daily usage.
