Part 4 of Bucky O’Hare for the NES. Let’s go “chill” at the Blue Planet. And if you can come up with a better opening line, I’d love to hear it. Commentary: 0:05 – Deadeye is supposed to be a 4-armed duck (compare with our Earth-type ducks, which have zero). He’s got a pretty useful 3-way shot with limited range. He’s also got a wall-climbing move which can come in handy sometimes. It’s not so good at low power, though. 0:23 – The ice is slippery (duh). Ducking stops your sliding. 0:27 – Blinky can blow up these ice blocks. Sometimes there’s goodies inside. Sometimes, toads. 0:34 – THIS is why you don’t do Blue Planet before Green. Without Blinky to break these blocks, you’re now officially stuck. This is a pretty monumentally stupid design flaw. 1:06 Well, why not rip off from Battletoads too? Most of these snakes are easy. Just wait for them to finish, then navigate through. 1:54 – Don’t be caught napping here…move quick to dodge the one that comes right at you. 2:38 – Flying does not replace super-jumping. Remember that. I didn’t. 2:54 – Um…moving on 3:36 – Unless you’re critical, save that L there for later. Just fight off the toads here and don’t stand on the edges. 5:23 – Tricky. Blow away the blocks first, then run for it while it’s going down. You should make it. 5:31 – These guys are tough. Willy kills them quickly. 6:02 – There’s an “L” in here somewhere I was hunting for. I decided I didn’t need it. Eventually. 6:19 – This guy’s name is such a bad pun I’m …

Well, let’s face it: The former design wasn’t so nice either, but at least it had a somewhat user-friendly interface. This one’s just crappy. Especially the thumbs up-thumbs down thing: When rating a video now I basically have to decide between the options “I like this” and “This is shit”. Where’s the neutral rating?
Even worse are those videos on the right that have absolutely nothing to do with the video I’m watching.
lolwut I dont get this thumbs up bull shit how many times do I have to press it and I dont even see if the video is good or not I have to press the thumb and only then I will see. HATE IT!!!!!
another thing I find annoying is that in order to reply you have to first highlight the comment so you can find the invisible reply button…same with thumbs up or thumbs down….
I also hate how you have to like or dislike a video before you can see its rating..thats aproblem when you are searching for 5star rated videos…
The only thing I like better is that the description is on the bottom of the video, instead of on the side somewhere, but otherwise, I can’t stand the layout, I agree with everything else he said also.

Same when they “improved” the account page, lots of flames about that too but now most people just see it as something that just is there if you know what I mean.

The reason for this new change is because they want to create a general theme to all their products including Chrome, and their OS as well as their mobile OSs. Its similar to Apple where all their products look the same. Its a marketing technique, the pros are that if it looks good then they gain reputation as a good futuristic company, however if its bad like this then the gain reputation as terrible layouters and a shit company.

I am used to it and like it i know i am one of a small few but to be honest every site that gets updated is often made worse than the one it replaces ebay really pisses me off.

Willy can occasionally be useful, but otherwise yeah. Most of the characters are only useful in niche situations.

…yes. That’s it.
The last stretch with the green ball can be hard if you don’t have Blinky. And yeah, the fire maze is very hard, even if you know the pattern. I’m amazed I got it on the first try.
The only thing the red planet has against it is the fire maze, IMO. But that can be really tough the first few times. Even watching it on this walkthrough, I still died about 50 times before I got the hang of it. I eventually had to go back and forth between the game and the video, pausing and unpausing both every 2 or 3 seconds and copying the pattern that way. It’s been a LONG time since I played the NES, and this has been my reintroduction to it – what a great way to get back into it!
Of the four planets, this is easily the hardest for me. But the hardest part of the game? No. THAT honor would have to go to the last part of the Cell level, between saving Willy and Deadeye. The patterns to those disappearing blocks are f***ing ridiculous, and then you have to use Bucky to shoot out the spikes in the elevator shaft without charging up your superjump and hitting them by mistake. THAT’s a bitch. One of the best, and HARDEST, NES games I’ve ever played.

Yeah I played this game before. Blue planet is a fucking bitch IMO, the hardest planet in the entire game, and possibly the hardest part in the entire game.

The boss isn’t that hard, but the planet is a real pain without a good assortment of people to help. Trying this without a full-powered Blinky or Deadeye is just asking for trouble.
