Xbox 360 Slim which doesn’t have RRoD,don’t buy Slim 2 it’s just the ripped version without online and stuff.Don’ play games such as CoD where you play online because it will take much time away from you.Or maybe buy a powerful phone or handheld console like PS Vita if you don’t want to play for too long.

either system is fine and should last you quite a while.the best thing to do is see which one has the most games you would like to play and go with it.hope this helps.
Idk what consoles u have in mind but ps3 has free online and more exclusives.
X360 has halo….I guess
A vita would last u a lot. Games like killzone mercenary are great. Borderlands 2 and minecraft also coming to vita. Persona 4, LBP vita, AC liberation and soul sacrifice are good too.
They are both pretty much on the same level. The 360 has a slightly larger library of games than the PS3. It depends on what console exclusives appeal to you more. With the 360 you’re getting the Halo series, Fable, and Gears of War. With the PS3 you’re getting the Uncharted series, Resistance, God of War, Killzone, and The Last of Us. All the major titles like Call of Duty etc are released for both systems.
The 360 has much better multi-player servers but you also have to drop another 50 dollars for the Gold level Xbox Live membership. If you don’t have that you can’t play online at all. The PS3’s servers are decent but they are 100% free. The PS3 also offers the Playstation Plus membership for 50 dollars a year. They release at least 4 games per month that are free to download. The only stipulation is that you must have an active PS+ membership in order to play them.
It’s really just a matter of preference. I personally lean towards the PS3 because of the Uncharted series and The Last of Us. But I own both. More often than not I’m playing the PS3. But again, just my preference as I’m not a huge fan of M$.
If you want longevity then I can safely say that the PS3 is your best option. Unlike the Wii/Xbox 360, the PS3 still has plenty of games coming out for it and also has an amazing backlog (games ranging from LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet & Clank to God of War and InFamous). It also has free online multiplayer services, which is a bonus! I also found that its Blu-ray features are good for convincing parents that it is a worthwhile purchase 😉
Alternatively you could get a Wii U, which has been out for about a year and has some cool games that will be released for it and can also play Wii games (I recommend Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart). However, it may be a bit more expensive than a PS3.
Next gen or current gen? If next gen It’s hard saying since neither have released yet. Usually a consoles durability becomes obvious pretty quickly though. I’m putting my money on the PS4 lasting though especially after Microsofts royal f*ck up with the 360 that was a total POS. Current gen the PS3. Xbox 360 is a total POS. Anyone who says xbox 360 is willing to place loyalty over what the reality is. I’m a fan of whatever company doesn’t put out a POS system I’m not going to buy a product just cause ZOMG it’s an Xbox or ZOMG it’s a Playstation. If it sucks why buy it? I’ve been using Microsofts POS xbox 360 from the very day it released up to now so far I’ve had to get 3 consoles. My first overheated though I took good care of it (almost everyone’s overheated due to sh*tty design flaws) then I sent it into Microsoft to repair it…damn thing comes back with a disc reading problem. Lasted a couple of years before failing completely went to gamestop, bought a refurbished one, it lasted me 3 days before it red ringed. My current one also refurbished from gamestop has a problem my original one did: it doesn’t completely shut off when you power it off via controller it stays on until you manually turn it off.
I’ve decided I’m going to trade it including my games in for a PS4….since they probably won’t give me enough cash to build another PC that’ll run next gen. So I figure I’ll just chill with my PS4 until I get the money to build my comp and consoles are always a great backup for when say your main gaming platform dies and you gotta repair it.
Both xbox 360 and Ps3 are good but the fun games for xbox are online and its usally Cod or Halo or borderlands. No really single player exclusives which ps3 has some. i would suggest the PS3.
