Spyderco Military FAIL & design flaws

If it’s gona have a stainless steel lockbar add on & three spacers that require 2 males each down the handle that’s a lot of possible rust. Plus I like Chris…

@uninfested Hey I talked to Eric Glesser in person & he said that the knife
screws suck & they’ve been on that for a while now. Also another
interesting trade secret that he told me to not say & outa respect I won’t
but you gota give me the benefit of the doubt sometimes. But either way
half the time I make the vid then just move forward so I don’t know what I
was thinking lol It’s an overall idea that’s spread across my vids you
    can’t base it off one

@RDS5284 Yah I know my M4 millie is fine what I really think it is is if
you watch mine the stop pin screw tolerances is sloppy so it was super
locktited & I think Spyderco was trying to cover it up. So when I first
went to take it apart it stripped cuz yah when I got the M4 millie the
screws were nice & easy to unscrew I’m prob gona make a vid noting this

  3. pietermoore says:

The screws on the military are shit from my few experiences as well. I just
try and be super careful lol.

@NeptuneKnives Base of your major complain; a knife that don’t have tiny
‘jeweler’ screws? While i don’t own any of them, i know that the emerson
knife use a large slot screw for the pivot and regular phillip for the
scales. They also look like very heavy duty knife. Check the reviews, see
    if that suite you.

  5. xDEMONIZEDx says:

@wray0616 The Military is fine for EDC use. The Civilian is ground so thin
that it is a terrible knife for EDC. With the belly and the stock size, the
Military is perfect for EDC use. That’s what most people use it for,
    actually.

  6. Cventures says:

I work in very unforgiving conditions for knives. Mud, salt, etc… I’m
kinda forced to clean it or I’ll end up rusting out another knife lol. The
screws don’t strip easy if you just hand tighten and don’t crank on em. I
think people that strip them hand tighten to snug… then tighten more and
strip. Just my theory at least.

  7. ryan d says:

amazing that i have taken my knife apart at least 5 times, i think the
problem you have is your lack of cognitive abilities….

  8. newtubetubetube says:

That knife is not a tool that should last. It is a jewel that you should
cherish. If you want a lasting tool, get a other brand.

  9. bfgguns says:

Cold Steel FTW. Spydercos are slicers, Cold Steel knives are real outdoor
    beater knives.

  10. bangelo1 says:

    dude. you are a joke

  11. wray0616 says:

@NeptuneKnives If you want to hear the truth, this is just the “tactical”
knife its all cracked up to be. It was meant for tactical use, not EDC
tasks. This knife has a very fine tip for a reason, and you got a defected
fluted milly from the factory, or you don’t understand how to properly use
    the knife.

  12. Cventures says:

Had the same one since it came out, tear down to clean often. Also done a
ton of mods on different militaries, so yes probably more than 30 times.
This guy who posts the video isn’t using his head.

    @colubrid2 Review*

  14. wray0616 says:

@xDEMONIZEDx well most people don’t need to use it for killing too keep in
    mind lol

  15. MrVegaslive says:

Ok, Shitty knife. Can I buy it from you for $100? 🙂

  16. uninfested says:

@snaggles2000, I completely agree. He needs to stop thinking his
assumptions are fact. It’s truely sad that I agree with his main points,
but don’t want to admit it because of the way he represents his opinions. A
    little professionalism wouldn’t hurt.

  17. Mr NiceKnife says:

Ive taken my military apart completely 4-5 times for cleaning with no
issues, just to let you know, not trying to be a smartass 😉

  18. tuffthumbz says:

no…ive taken apart 40-50 never had a problem, get new tools.

  19. 702dirtrider says:

This issue has been fixed as far as my knowledge goes, the new regular
Military’s have titanium liners and a back brace that two of the screws go
    into which stabilizes the handle.

  20. NeptuneKnives . says:

I know you got the dragon scale on yours I got an m4 too but I suggest you
be really careful if you get that thing dirty cuz we had some real problems
with the small screws. Mel cried cuz she really liked the knife & we’re
always trying to find the right one for her & now this happens.

  21. MAX KAWS says:

NeptuneKnife, keep on good work man. You definitely know the truth.

  22. NeptuneKnives . says:

@9nova6 Dude you are one illiterate mofo! lol Geez either way I put this
vid up because I don’t want anyone to get themselves in a situation & not
know the risks of the gear they’ve chosen. Just trying to help the
community here! Besides I like the military just not it’s construction

  23. NeptuneKnives . says:

@MrVegaslive hell yeah you can email me!

  24. Blake Erven says:

1.) The warranty doesn’t allow for disassembly because most people aren’t
qualified and don’t have the right tools or training (like you), great
recommendation from a DEALER. 2.) Stainless doesn’t rust easily, especially
if you lube it. 3.) You have no idea why the Sage is made in Taiwan. 4.) It
stopped locking up right after you re-assembled it? Ok.

  25. xDEMONIZEDx says:

You void your warranty by taking the knife apart. It’s a pillar
construction for a reason. You can deep-soak it in warm, soapy water, and
air blast it dry. Then get some Tuff-Glide with a needle applicator, and
precision lube it. I use my fluted-ti in the field everyday, have used it
in muddy, wet, dusty, dry, and everything it between and that cleaning
method has worked everytime. I have no pitting, rust, or any other
    oxidation.
